The ORTEC Routing Suites are part of our advanced planning solutions. These products are used by customers world-wide for planning trucks and engineers on a daily basis. A major component of these products are the route optimization algorithms to create tactical and operational plans. Our optimization consultants are continuously improving the way we use these algorithms for our customers. As a thesis student, you will work on the advanced application of metaheuristics. You will analyze current route optimization strategies, identify possible improvements, implement these improvements and test them with data from customers currently using the ORTEC Routing Suites.
Who are you You are an Operations Research, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics or related field, master student (or at the end of the bachelor phase) and looking for a graduation project You have knowledge about algorithms and heuristics You have knowledge on combinatorial optimization problems and their solution methods You are currently living in the Netherlands and communicate fluently in English, verbally and in writing What we offer Entrance to the most passionate powerhouse in applied mathematics.
